Growth consulting for Phoenix Valley service businesses

Your best client experience. Every time.

I spent 20 years making pharmaceutical manufacturing run the same way, every single time. Now I help local service businesses do the same, so more clients come back and send their friends.

Serving Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert.

You’re not bad at business. Your systems are working against you.

A new client reaches out. Somebody has to notice the message. Somebody has to copy it into another app. Somebody has to check the calendar. Somebody has to remember to follow up.

Four somebodies. Zero systems.

When a person becomes the wire between your tools, things slip. Leads wait. Happy clients drift away. Referrals happen by luck instead of on purpose.

  • Leads go cold

New inquiries sit in an inbox while you’re busy doing the actual work.

  • Clients don’t come back

Great first visit, then silence. Nobody reached out at the right moment.

  • Referrals are random

Your happiest clients would send friends. Nobody ever made it easy to ask.

The Referral Engine

A system that turns the clients you already have into your best source of new ones.

Most service businesses spend on ads to find strangers while their happiest clients go quiet. The Referral Engine fixes the leaks first, then makes it easy for satisfied clients to come back and bring someone with them.

What’s included

  • Find the leaks

We map every step from first inquiry to repeat visit and find where people drop off.

  • Follow-up that runs itself

Reminders, check-ins and rebooking prompts go out at the right moment, without someone having to remember.

  • Ask at the right time

Referral requests timed to when clients are happiest, not random.

  • Stay top of mind

Consistent, genuine content that keeps you in front of the people who already know and trust you.

  • Know your numbers

We measure where you start, so you can see exactly what changed.

Find out where your referrals are leaking

Diagnose. Build. Measure.

  1. Diagnose

Humans first. I talk with you and your team about where the day gets frustrating, and walk your client journey from first call to fifth visit. You get a clear list of the quickest wins.

  2. Build

My development team builds the fix and connects the tools you already pay for. No ripping out software that works. No slide deck that sits in a drawer.

  3. Measure

We record your starting numbers before anything changes, then track repeat visits, response times and referrals so you see the result in plain numbers.

Most consultants hand you a plan. I hand you a working system.

Sometimes the fastest win is somewhere else.

The Growth Audit isn’t a sales pitch for one product. If your biggest opportunity is elsewhere, I’ll tell you. Common ones:

  • Stop being the cable

Automate the copy-paste work between your inbox, calendar and client records.

  • Faster first response

Make sure every new inquiry gets answered, even after hours.

  • Outbound that sounds human

Reach the right local prospects with messages that don’t read like spam.

Built for businesses that run on relationships.

  • Med spas & aesthetics
  • Law firms
  • Insurance agencies
  • Real estate teams
  • Jewelers & specialty retail
  • Other appointment-based businesses

If your growth depends on people coming back and telling their friends, we should talk.

Why a chemical engineer?

I started my career as an assistant brewmaster, learning that the only thing harder than making something great is making it great every single time.

That obsession took me through a PhD in chemical engineering at Colorado State University and 20 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, at companies like MilliporeSigma, Novasep and Sartorius. I designed and built manufacturing facilities for global giants and scrappy startups, and led teams across four continents to get “impossible” projects over the finish line.

In pharma, consistency isn’t nice to have. A process that works on Tuesday but not on Friday doesn’t ship. That’s exactly the problem I see in small businesses: the best client experience happens on good days, when the right person remembers.

That’s why I started Byteable. I find where the process breaks, and our engineering team builds the systems that fix it, so the good days become every day.

Questions people ask

What happens on the free Growth Audit?

A 30-minute call. You tell me how clients find you, buy from you and come back. I’ll point out the two or three biggest leaks I hear and what I’d fix first. You keep the notes whether or not we work together.

Do I have to replace my current software?

Almost never. We connect and improve what you already use. Replacing something that works is usually the expensive way to fix a small problem.

I’m not a tech person. Is that a problem?

No. You don’t need to understand how it’s built. You need to know your business, and you already do.

How long until I see results?

Simple fixes like faster follow-up can show up within weeks. Referral and repeat-visit improvements usually take a few months to show clearly, which is why we measure your starting point first.

Do you only work in Phoenix?

I focus on the Phoenix Valley because I like meeting clients in person. The work itself can be done anywhere.

What does it cost?

It depends on what we find. The audit is free, and you’ll get a clear proposal with a fixed price before any work starts.

Let’s find your quickest win.

30 minutes, no pitch deck, no obligation. Just an honest look at where your business is leaking clients.
